The Big Mo

Saturday we FINALLY took Madison to The Big Mo! She loved it!! She's been dying to see Wall-E, so it was the perfect weekend to go. We ate hot dogs, popcorn, played on the playground. Can you believe we killed 2 hours (to get a decent spot!) and had no whines at all?! It's true!

PS - I give the drive-in 5 stars.....Wall-E gets 2.5 stars. It was ok, but not enough to keep a 4 year old interested for an hour & a half. She had to ask a LOT of questions b/c there wasn't a whole lot of talking.

Little Fish

I can't believe I didn't have my camera (I know you can't believe it either, right?!).....

Madison & her buddy Hannah were at the pool today and swimming like fish! Madison has always done perfectly UNDER water, but we've struggled this year to get her above the water. Hannah just got done with her first swim lessons and was showing us a great doggie paddle. Well, I swear they learn best from each other (why doesn't she listen to us that well?) - they were paddling all over the pool!

Since they were having such a great time jumping in the side (all over Mike)....we suggested they jump off the diving board. Madison was jumping off with no floaties! Then Mike would make sure she was secure and she'd paddle over to the steps. They were paddling like pros in the 10.5 feet!!

I was so proud, I just had to share (next time I'll take my camera!).

We're BACK!

It's with pleasure and sadness that I say "We're Back." It's nice to be home (and back to Internet access....the hotel's internet was down for the last 3 days!!), but of course I would stay forever if I could. The last 2 days we park hopped like crazy and had awesome lines! :-)

Now, since I didn't have internet for 3 days, my updates were put on hold. I'll be working on finishing them up tonight and probably just post all at once....I know you're dying for them! :-)

WDW Update 1

Man, I know you are all very disappointed in my lack of updates....it's SO not like me. But Madison is older now & can go MUCH longer now on these trips (longer than me!), so we've not been getting home until after 11 every night and leaving by 8 the next morning! I KNOW?!

Well, here's the first of many updates (very soon b/c I've demanded a day off from the parks tomorrow)!! This one is Magic Kingdom, our first official park day. And you know me....I like to make mine into movies.

Highlights from the day....we did a GREAT job on lines & using our fast passes. It seems like there are so many things that we usually do, but didn't get to yet (like waiting in line to see the princesses), but Madison's gotten so much older :-( and her tastes have changed so much! She is into bigger rides now, so we actually added some new rides to our rotation: Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger, Stitch's Great Escpae, the Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Astro Orbitor, and the Mad Hatter Tea Cups. Oh, and we got stuck in Small World for like 30 minutes, so that slowed us down! :-)

Disney Day .5

I say .5 because it really wasn't supposed to be a day at the parks today! Madison was SUCH a good girl on the way up and really wanted to go, so after checking in at 4:00, we headed to Epcot - yes, you heard me right. Of all the parks, that's where my daughter wanted to go!

She went straight for Soarin'.

After explaining to her that it was a 50 minute wait (our very first ride) and that she would not get to see ANY princesses that night if we waited (they're only out until about 6 at Epcot), she INSISTED that we wait anyway. So we did.

But that was the ONLY place we waited ALL NIGHT! After that we did Figment, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Nemo, Turtle Talk, Spaceship Earth, and Soraing (again) all with NO LINE! It was awesome - maybe we need to go at 5:00 more often!

(She LOVED Figment....had to buy a little figment toy, of course)

(Nemo was fun too, of course)

Then we rushed over to see the Illuminations display, which somehow we had never made it to before. Madison was in awe! GOSH I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!

Oh, and our room is awesome! Somehow we got a 2 bedroom. :-) It is HUGE! From Madison's room to our room seems like across the world! Too bad we won't be spending much time here.....off to Magic Kindgom in the morning.

My Little Smartie

Madison was writing in her Journal tonight about all we did today. I was so proud!! She sounded out "pool" and "exercise" ALL BY HERSELF!! I swear, I did not mouth one syllable - she stretched it all out herself!! My big girl!!

PS - She pronounces the word "ex-der-cising"

Family Fun!

Sunday was family fun day! Madison started by reading outside to all her animals outside. It was so cute. It took about 20 minutes to set it all up and then she read for about 5 minutes. :-)

Then the family came over to celebrate Mom's birthday, though the Wii was really the center of attention for kids BIG....

...and small!

We even had some mini-trash talk going on...

Super Saturday

Another fun filled Saturday for the Mobleys. First we went to Erin's dance recital. She danced to Pretty Woman. It was very cute.

Next we headed to the pool! We got WAY too much sun....all of us are a little red today.

Last we went to Chester for dinner with Nana, Papa, Maw Maw & Paw Paw. Madison had a great time. Unfortunately I left my camera in Columbia. :-(
